Sadeddin
It combines Arabic Sa'd (happiness/fortune) and al-Din (religion), meaning 'Felicity of the Faith' or 'Happiness in Religion'.
While the compound name is not in the Quran, both elements derive from Quranic concepts. Sa'd appears in various contexts, and Din appears throughout.
Sadeddin Efendi (1536–1599) was a renowned Sheikh ul-Islam and historian under Sultan Murad III, famous for his work 'Tacü't-Tevarih'.
Though historically significant, it is extremely rare today, making it an excellent choice for parents seeking unique Ottoman heritage with deep Islamic meaning.
In Turkish: Sah-ded-deen. In Arabic: Sa'd ad-Deen.
